Juggut Singh: The Hothead

Juggat Singh is the first character that the reader will interact with when reading the book. Juggat, or commonly called Jugga, is a Sikh and is the "budmash", or troublemaker, of Mano Majra. After committing several cases of public disturbance and domestic violence, Jugga is an cocky, hot-tempered person who barely works for his family. However, as the reader will find out in the beginning of the book, he has a deep passion for a Muslim girl named Nooran. He sneaks out of the village, even though he is forbidden to set a foot outside of village perimeters, to express to his love and passion for Nooran. Due to his fearless and reckless character, he gets into many brawls, especially with the Police. He also uses his height and strength in order to establish physical dominance.
