"Tensions run high near the border of British India, which is about to be partitioned with a new country called Pakistan. Enraged at the loss of law and order, they plan their own attack on a trainful of Muslims leaving British India. The train is overcrowded with tens and thousands of migrating passengers, who are even perched on the windows and seated on the roof of this train. This book is about India and Pakistan back in its civil war period. Right after the British left the country, a war started against the Muslims, Sikhs and the Hindus in order to establish who was to take control of the new-born nation. The book focuses on the corruption of government personals and is centered around the controversial love between a Muslim and a Sikh. Train to Pakistan is a novel about how young love survives in the mist of violence and religious revolution.
